Principles in the African Community/Culture with Special Reference to the Tsonga Community and the Dimensions of Child Development in the Foundation Phase
Abstract
The study is qualitative in nature and it examines the principles in the African community and the dimensions of child development in the Foundation Phase. Data for this paper was collected from the parents of the Grade Two learners in a township school. The main aim was to get to know how Africans live and the support they provide to their children during the Foundation Phase period, which was mainly based on the Tsonga culture. Africans in general, need to keep abreast with what is happening in the daily lives of their children in order to effectively take part in their education.Downloads
