Editorial Policy
At Richtmann Publishing, we prioritize maintaining the utmost ethical standards in our publishing endeavors. As part of our commitment to transparency, integrity, and accountability, we adopt and adhere to the principles set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity. By adhering to these policies, we uphold the credibility, quality, and integrity of every piece of content we publish.
1. Editorial Decision-Making:
Neutrality and Equality: We make editorial decisions based exclusively on the merit and relevance of the submitted content, without any prejudice towards the authors, their affiliations, their origin, or any other external factors.
Peer Review Process: All manuscripts undertake a rigorous peer-review process by experts in the field, certifying the quality and validity of the research or content.
Transparency: We maintain transparency in our decision-making process by clearly documenting the peer review and editorial handling process, providing authors with constructive feedback, and ensuring confidentiality throughout.
2. Publication Ethics:
Plagiarism: We strictly condemn plagiarism and take proactive measures to prevent it. All submitted content is subjected to plagiarism detection tools, (Richtmann uses the Crosscheck software powered by Turnitin) and any identified cases of plagiarism are dealt with according to our plagiarism policy.
Authorship and Contributorship: We expect authors to meet the criteria for authorship as defined by COPE. Individuals who have made significant contributions to the research or content should be acknowledged appropriately.
Conflicts of Interest: We require authors, reviewers, and editors to reveal any potential conflicts of interest that may compromise the reliability or impartiality of the work. We manage conflicts of interest appropriately to warrant neutral decision-making. Authors should specify in the paper if there is any conflict of interest.
Data Integrity and Reproducibility: We promote the use of robust research methodologies and encourage authors to share data and materials whenever feasible to enhance transparency and reproducibility.
3. Ethical Responsibilities:
Human and Animal Subjects: Research papers concerning human or animal subjects should observe the internationally accepted ethical guidelines. Authors must provide evidence of gaining informed consent and ethical clearance where applicable.
Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern: We take prompt action in cases of errors, misleading information, or ethical concerns. According to Richtmann publishing's publishing policy in the event of corrections reported by the authors, we arise with appropriate effectiveness with a note, correcting the paper and specifying what has been modified. In cases where it is discovered that an author has committed plagiarism or has violated ethical norms, a retracted of his paper is carried out. In this case a note appears on the page where the article was previously published.
Editorial Independence: Our editorial decisions are driven by the intellectual and scientific content of the submissions, free from any unjustified influence from the publisher, sponsors, or other external parties.
Intellectual Property: We respect intellectual property rights and require authors to obtain necessary permissions for the use of copyrighted materials, while providing appropriate citations and acknowledgments.
4. Editorial Board and Reviewer Policies:
Competence and Expertise: We ensure that the editorial board members and reviewers possess the necessary expertise, experience, and qualifications to provide fair, impartial, and constructive assessments of the submissions.
Confidentiality and Anonymity: We maintain confidentiality regarding the content of the submissions, the identities of the authors, reviewers, and editorial board members, and any other confidential information obtained during the review process.
5. Transparency and Open Access:
Article Processing Charges (APCs): We provide clear information about any applicable APCs, ensuring transparency in our fee structure and financial policies. The publication fee is clearly specified for each journal and after peer review process to the authors that have been accepted the paper is sent an invoice with all the data provided for payment of publication fee.
Licensing and Copyright: We follow open access principles whenever possible and encourage authors to choose licenses that promote the widest possible dissemination and reuse of their work. Copyright remains to the authors, as the journal publishes under open access under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License.
Conclusion: By aligning our editorial policies with COPE principles and the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity we strive to maintain the highest ethical standards in our publishing practices. We believe that these policies contribute to the integrity, honesty, and long-term sustainability of our publications, confirming that the research and content we publish make a positive impact on the scholarly community.
