Educational Theories of Cognitive Development
Abstract
Cognitive theories explain how behavior changes as a result of people’s perception, transformation, processing, storage and retrieval of information in contrast to behaviorist who focus on only observable facts. Cognitive psychologist, instead, claim that they could access to internal psychological processes through applying scientific techniques and systematic verifiable procedures to study human behavior at its best. In the present paper, we will examine how both schools of thought provide us with a rich and descriptive data to enhance learning among pupils and to fulfill their healthy cognitive and emotional developmental needs that is a milestone in their journey towards becoming a successful and confident individual in future.Downloads
