Abstract

The bottom-line of feminist literature is to give a healthy image to the woman and eliminate social discriminations against her in the society. Women in different societies neither belong to same class nor face same problems. So are the perceptions of women`s problems and approaches to the issue of equality with men. Bode Osanyin, a contemporary Nigerian male writer in his novel, The Noble Mistress focuses on the class of women called prostitutes. This essay analyses his perception of prostitutes and prostitution in the novel.
