Influence of Child Neglect on Self-concept of Senior Secondary School Students in Cross River State, Nigeria
Abstract
This study was to determine the influence of child neglect on the self concept of senior secondary school students in Cross River State, Nigeria. The research design was survey design. The sample size consisted of two thousand (2000) senior secondary two (SS II) students. The instrument for data collection was questionnaire captioned Child Neglect Questionnaire (CNQ) and Students Self-concept Questionnaire (SSCQ). One Way Analysis of Variance was used for data analysis and the hypothesis was tested at 0.05 alpha level. The result obtained showed a significant negative influence of child neglect on the self- concept (in terms of physical self, social self, moral self, financial self and family self) respectively.Downloads
