The study aimed to prepare a training program based on applying of the principles of deconstruction in developing the skills of designing and assembling materials for clothing accessories. The study sample consisted of 40 female students from the Department of Art Education at King Faisal University in Saudi Arabia, who were randomly selected. The study used a quasi-experimental approach and the research tool was the Design Skills and Material Combination Scale for Clothing Accessories (DSMCAS). The study found a statistically significant difference at the 0.001 level between the average scores of the study sample on DSMCAS in the pre- and post-tests, in favor of the post-test. It also showed that the training curriculum based on the principles of educational constructivism is a constructive one that allows students to engage in self-organization processes, address some design gaps, and conduct formative treatments related to materials, indicating the effectiveness of the training curriculum in developing the skills of assembling and designing clothing accessories in the sample.
