The length and density of road networks can play an important role in the differentiation of municipalities within a region based on the level of development of these municipalities in terms of the aforementioned values. The road network of a region is determined by decisive factors such as its length and density, influencing the determination of accessibility, connection and general organization of municipalities within that area. A developed road network increases transportation options, facilitates economic activities and promotes interaction between communities, influencing the development and integration of the region. Inefficient road network systems are a serious problem for many different developments within a country’s municipalities. This study is based on the analysis and differentiation of the road network of the Dukagjini Region (Albanian: Rrafshi i Dukagjinit), also known as the western region of Kosovo. This study analyzes, evaluates, and differentiates the road network of the Dukagjin Region, based on some statistical elements, according to the administrative division (municipality) approved by the laws of Kosovo.
