This study presents a task system designed to develop the research skill of information management in university students. Research skills are understood as the process of constructing and reconstructing knowledge, which involves learning to learn. This requires mastering actions that arise from the social interaction between the individual and the object of study, using various innovative and creative strategies. The present research work has a descriptive-explanatory character. For the collection of information, various methodologies were used, such as the historical-logical approach to study the background, development and theoretical foundation of the subject; analysis and synthesis, which facilitated the interpretation of the information obtained; and the inductive-deductive method, used to interpret the data obtained. As a result of this research, it was concluded that the research skill of managing information should be developed in university students through the collection, processing and communication of information, as part of their training in various subjects. Therefore, it is essential that students at this level of education strengthen this field of learning in order to contribute to society and face the challenges and responsibilities imposed by education.
