This study aimed at investigating the impact of using the brainstorming strategy in enhancing creative thinking and its skills among sixth grade basic students. The sample of this study was 100 students chosen from sixth grade basic, Tafilah Governorate. The study was conducted in the first term of the 2024-2025 academic year. This study adopted the quasi-experimental design in which the sample was divided equally into an experimental group (n=50) and a control one (n=50). The proposed program based on brainstorming strategy was used to teach the experimental group whereas the control group was taught using the traditional method. The study adopted a pre-post creative thinking test and the creative thinking scale as the study instruments. The test was conducted on both groups before and after administering the proposed program to the experimental group. The experimental group outperformed the control group in creative thinking and its skills as the findings of this study revealed that the experimental group students scored significantly higher than those in the control one on EFL creative thinking skills test, mainly those of fluency, flexibility and originality. Consequently, the brainstorming strategy proved to be an effective strategy to develop creative thinking if properly applied. Based on those results, the study recommended applying the suggested strategy for developing creative thinking to achieve better outcomes in students' levels. The study suggests a set of recommendations and suggestions for advanced research were presented.
