Bibliometric Analysis of the Scientific Production in the Field of Research Skills of the Environmental Approach from 2000 to 2022

This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of scientific production in the field of environmental research skills from 2000--2022. This research aims to identify, examine, and analyze the most significant trends, patterns, and contributions in this rapidly evolving domain. A rigorous methodology utilizing the Scopus database and advanced bibliometric techniques, including keyword co-occurrence analysis and visualization tools, was employed. The study revealed substantial growth in publications over the analyzed period, with a notable increase from 8 publications in 2002 to 132 in 2022, indicating increasing interest and activity in the field. Key findings include the identification of leading authors, prominent journals, and influential institutions contributing to the advancement of environmental research skills. The analysis also highlights the geographical distribution of research, with the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia emerging as major contributors. Furthermore, the study reveals evolving thematic focuses, such as sustainability, climate change adaptation, and biodiversity conservation, reflecting the field's response to pressing global environmental challenges. This research provides valuable insights for academics, policymakers, and practitioners, offering a foundation for future research directions and collaborative opportunities in terms of environmental research skills. The findings underscore the importance of interdisciplinary approaches and international cooperation in addressing complex environmental issues through enhanced research capabilities.
