Measures for Improving the Acquisition of Entrepreneurial Skills in Technology Education by the Polytechnic Students in the South–South States in Nigeria

Abstract

The study sought to identify measures for improving the acquisition of entrepreneurship skills in technology
education by the polytechnic students in the south-south states. Structured questionnaire was the
instrument used to collect data from the respondents. The population for the study comprised 35 teachers
of technology; the sampling technique was of “convenience type”. Data were analyzed through the used of
mean and standard deviation while Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to test the hypotheses at 0.05
level of significance. The findings of the study revealed that entrepreneurship skills, creative, business
techniques were needed in technology education. It was therefore recommended that graduates of
technology education should be dedicated to creating a society as their future and fortune would be
determined by their abilities and dedication to entrepreneurship skills.
