The Efforts of King Zog I for Nationalization of Albanian Education

Abstract

This document aims to analyze the factors that led King Zog I to take educational reform - along the consolidation of
the Albanian state. Through a compliance of draft legislation according to European standards, His Majesty King Zog I gave
importance to school consolidation and Albanian education. Design and implementation of reforms meant the strengthening of
school with full national character, state and secular spirit, and the weakening of religious, private and above all foreign schools.
