Publication fee
To encompass the entirety of publication expenses, Richtmann imposes a uniform "article processing charge" (APC), which varies between GBP 180 and GBP 1700. The specific amount is contingent upon the country's income classification, categorized as low, middle, or high income. Kindly refer to the relevant journal page for comprehensive details on the applicable fee structure.
What does an APC cover?
As well as permanent, immediate, and worldwide access to the full article text the APC covers: Editorial work: peer review, administrative support, commissioning content, journal development. Technical infrastructure and innovation: development, maintenance and operation of online journal system and websites. Production of articles and full journal: formatting and mark-up of articles, printing and shipment of hard copies. Marketing of journal and content: making sure readers and authors know about the work published in the title Customer service: responding to authors and readers.
What does APC not cover?
APC does not cover the indexing of articles across various databases, as these are independent entities from the journal. The journal cannot be held responsible if a particular database decides to discontinue indexing the journal.
