Employee Motivation and Performance as a Catalyst for Organizational Growth
Abstract
Motivation is a topic that is extensively researched. Halfway the twentieth century the first important motivational theories arose, namely Maslow’s hierarchy of needs (1943), Herzberg’s two-factor theory (1959) and Vroom’s expectancy theory (1964). The aim of this paper is to elaborate on the relationship between employee motivation and employee performance and to provide organizations and managers useful information on in relation to employee performance. The answers to all research questions will be based on literature research. The results of this paper may lead to empirical research on the relationship between employee motivation and performance.Downloads
