This study aimed to examine the involvement of stakeholders in enhancing the performance of mango projects in Kenya. The data collection tools included questionnaires, observation guides, and interviews, while data were analysed using content analysis and descriptive statistical methods. Results from descriptive data and content analysis revealed average to low-performance levels in most mango projects. This indicated that many inherent problems were negatively impacting overall mango production and, consequently, reducing the incomes of mango farmers. A lack of stakeholder involvement and technical expertise in collaboration with farmers for mango tree care significantly affected production. Declines in production were to occur during the preharvest stage, which subsequently manifested as a drop-in production during the postharvest stage. Additional concerns included insufficient farm management skills, lack of enough mango knowledge, and the complex technical inputs required for improved performance. The study recommends the continuous involvement of stakeholders, facilitated by both county and national levels of government, to support mango farmers. Formulating a resilient mango policy and backing it with robust marketing strategies will be essential for providing effective governance and policy frameworks. This study will greatly benefit mango farmers, especially considering the emerging significance of mango fruit as a key player in the global economy.
